RevenueWell is a marketing platform. NexHealth does the work after the text goes out. Books it, collects it, writes it back.

Or call 866-522-1598

RevenueWell

A dental marketing platform built on reminders and campaigns, with add-ons.

Their competition: Solutionreach and Lighthouse 360.

NexHealth

A patient experience platform that keeps your calendar full and your patient balances collected.

Our competition: the hours your staff spend calling to fill a last-minute cancellation, manually posting payments, and checking insurance one patient at a time.

What practices told us when they left RevenueWell for NexHealth

Cancellations fill themselves. Real bookings, not requests.

On RevenueWell, online booking could not match the schedule and did not sync with Eaglesoft. Burned by vendors before, the practice moved to NexHealth for booking that shows every hygienist's real availability.

Owner dentist, general and sedation dental practice

Text thread where NexHealth offers a patient two earlier appointment times and confirms the one she picks

Payments post to the ledger. On every system, not just one.

On RevenueWell, a payment taken online did not reach the ledger on its own. Someone went in, pulled it out and applied it by hand. The practice moved payments to NexHealth so they post themselves.

Practice director, single-location dental practice

Forms write back to the chart. Health history too.

On RevenueWell, forms did not get a group that was nearly paperless the rest of the way, and medical alerts never posted into Dentrix Ascend. The group moved forms, texting and payments at every location to NexHealth.

Owner, multi-location specialty dental group

A local support team.

Practices missed the NexHealth team. NexHealth support is in Draper, Utah. And the onboarding team is in San Francisco, CA.

Who does the job: software, or your staff

Buying a marketing platform means your staff does the job after the message goes out.

The job

With NexHealth

With RevenueWell

Keeps your calendar full

With NexHealth

NexHealth, on its own

  • Waitlist that fills cancellations on its own
  • Online scheduling on your website, Google Maps and invisalign.com
  • Tracks which bookings came from where

With RevenueWell

Your staff, by hand

When a patient cancels, someone at the front desk calls down the list. Online scheduling mostly sends a request that staff confirm by hand.

Gets patients ready before they walk in: forms done, insurance checked, card on file

With NexHealth

NexHealth, on its own

  • Custom forms that sync to the patient chart
  • Reads the insurance card from a photo
  • Texts the patient when their insurance ID is wrong or expired
  • Collects a card on file at booking or in the forms

With RevenueWell

Your staff, by hand

Forms land in a review queue. Someone checks each one and syncs it. Insurance checks are a paid add-on that misses major insurers, so staff go back to checking portals by hand.

Collects your balances

With NexHealth

NexHealth, on its own

  • Posts every payment to the ledger
  • Works out the patient portion vs insurance on its own
  • Text to pay, email, terminal and online portal
  • Patient statements
  • Surcharging

With RevenueWell

Your staff, by hand

Payments run through a partner, Rectangle Health. On Eaglesoft the payment posts to the ledger. On any other system someone posts it by hand. Nothing splits across procedures on its own. No surcharging.

Writes it all back to your practice management system

With NexHealth

NexHealth, on its own

Every feature works with your practice management system, because the connection is ours and not a third party's.

With RevenueWell

Your staff, by hand

RevenueWell's connection to your practice management system is partly a third party's. Eaglesoft gets the most. On Dentrix and Open Dental, forms land in a folder to rekey.

Gets you live

With NexHealth

An onboarding manager, with you

A person in San Francisco installs the sync and sets up your reminders, forms and online booking. 7 days from signed to live.

With RevenueWell

Your staff, with help articles

Getting Started articles and RevenueWell Academy videos, then the support line.

Picks up when you call

With NexHealth

A person in Draper, Utah

40 seconds to reach a person by phone.

With RevenueWell

Your staff, left to their own

A support line and a ticket form. Support moved overseas, changes arrive with no notice, and one insurance problem took four months to fix.

A person in Draper picks up your call in 40 seconds. A person in San Francisco gets you live in 7 days.

RevenueWell: a ticket form, overseas support, and changes that arrive with no notice.

Questions practices ask us

Who owns RevenueWell?

Marlin Equity Partners, a private equity firm, has backed RevenueWell since January 2020. In February 2021 Marlin merged it with PBHS, a dental website agency. In November 2022 the co-founder stepped down as CEO and the head of sales took over.

Does RevenueWell build its own connection to my practice management system?

Not all of it. Part of the connection comes from third parties. What writes back depends on your system. Eaglesoft gets the deepest connection. Dentrix, Open Dental, Denticon and the rest get less, and payments post by hand on them.

How hard is it to leave RevenueWell?

RevenueWell sells one- and two-year terms that renew on their own. One practice's buyout quote to end the marketing platform and forms early was more than $10,000. Another signed at a trade show and learned the term later. Find your term end and notice window in your agreement before you plan a switch.

Does RevenueWell do payments and insurance verification?

Yes, as add-ons. Payments run through a partner, Rectangle Health, and post to the ledger on their own only on Eaglesoft. Nothing splits across procedures on its own, and you cannot pass processing fees to patients. Insurance verification launched as a paid add-on in March 2024.

What does RevenueWell cost?

RevenueWell does not publish prices. It sells three software tiers set by how many texts you send, with phones, forms, websites, insurance verification and the AI receptionist as add-ons. The bill goes up at renewal, going over the text limit brings charges you did not expect, and RevenueWell will not let you drop to a smaller package.

Does RevenueWell work for medical practices?

No. RevenueWell's own site says it is built exclusively for dentists. NexHealth works for dental and medical practices.

Do RevenueWell review requests go to Google?

The requests send patients to a RevenueWell page instead of Google. When you leave, the reviews stay on that page. Check where your last 20 reviews landed before you decide.

Who owns NexHealth?

Its founders, backed by Silicon Valley investors. The roadmap comes from what practices ask for, and new product updates ship most weeks: 880+ releases in the past five years.

How do I switch from RevenueWell to NexHealth?

A NexHealth person installs the sync, sets up your reminders, forms and online booking, and walks your front desk through it. 7 days from signed to first feature live.

Does NexHealth work with my practice management system?

15 systems, dental and medical, cloud and on premise: Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, Curve, Cloud9, Dolphin, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, NextGen, ModMed and more. The full list is at nexhealth.com/integrations.

Is NexHealth for medical practices too?

Yes. 19 specialties: dental, orthodontics, primary care, dermatology, physical therapy and more.
