Summer Release 2026
Treatment Plans, Payment Plans, and the new Insights dashboard headline NexHealth's Summer Release. Everything reads from your EHR and writes back.
“It's not a platform, it's not a dashboard, it's not software. It's the system I run my business on.” – Dr. Ifeyinwa Stitt, who runs Caronette Fibroid & Pelvic Wellness Center with her husband
Treatment Plans, Payment Plans, Insights and more
On July 23, the Built with Synchronizer webinar followed one patient from the first text to the final payment. Here is everything it covered, in order.
NexHealth is one clean system to run your practice: 1.8M appointments booked, $360M in payments processed, 1.6M forms submitted, 1.9M messages sent, and 8.4M insurance verifications run. Everything below is built on the Synchronizer, the read and write connection between NexHealth and your EHR.
The release, in story order:
- See each patient's appointments and coverage status while you message, plus new tagging and task assignment for teams
- Verify insurance automatically before every visit, now with ID card scan and automatic remediation
- Follow up on every proposed treatment with Treatment Plans, a new view inside Scheduling
- Offer payment plans patients pick at checkout, with every installment written to your EHR ledger
- Watch your whole practice from one screen with Insights, brand new in this release
We've also expanded Insurance Verification to Denticon, eClinicalWorks, and Cloud9.
The full 30-minute session, recorded live on July 23, is below.
Messaging with patient context built in
The front desk shouldn't need three tabs open to answer one text. Upcoming appointments and insurance verification status now appear beside every conversation, pulled directly from your EHR data.
We've added tagging and task assignment, built for practices where several people manage one patient relationship. Automated recall messages and intelligent quick replies are already part of Messaging, and we're expanding intelligent assistant features to automate even more. Stay tuned for our next webinar.
Insurance verified before patients arrive
Verification reads insurance details from your EHR, patient-submitted forms, or direct entry, and confirms coverage and eligibility ahead of every visit. The summary syncs into the patient record in your EHR, and anything needing manual attention is flagged for your team.
This release adds two upgrades:
- ID card scan. We scan the front and back of the insurance card to pre-fill the form, meaning fewer transcription errors and meaningfully higher first-pass success.
- Automated outreach. When insurance on file is expired, inactive, or mismatched, the patient receives the same form by email or text, with no staff work in between.
“You guys might not have fixed insurance, but you certainly helped with the verification of it.” – Eric Duchanin, Advantage Dental
Verification is available today for Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix Enterprise, and just launched for Denticon, eClinicalWorks, and Cloud9. On an EHR we don't support yet? Join the waitlist and we'll notify you the day yours goes live.
Treatment plans that get scheduled
In-office iPad signing works. But a plan that isn't signed or scheduled in the chair is nearly impossible to follow up on once the patient's gone. Treatment Plans closes that gap.
Every active treatment plan is pulled straight from your EHR into one Treatment Plans view inside Scheduling. Archive what you don't need to chase. Each plan includes an automatically generated, plain-language summary at an 8th-grade reading level, editable by you, instead of a list of procedure codes.
Follow-up is fully self-serve. Patients can accept and schedule, snooze for three months, or reject, with no staff hand-off required.

The beta opens in August, with general availability for Open Dental, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft soon after. Later this year, Treatment Plans folds into the new iPad in-office experience. Join the beta.
Payment Plans that sync to your ledger
Third-party financing tools don't sync to the EHR, so practices end up with conflicting sources of truth about patient balances. Payment Plans syncs natively to your EHR ledger.
Set your templates once in Payment Settings: installments, amount, interest. At checkout, the patient picks a plan, signs the terms, and attaches a payment method. NexHealth handles scheduling, reminders, charging, and EHR sync automatically.
Want that conversation with the patient instead? Build and send a custom plan case by case with practice-led plans.

Payment Plans opens its beta in August alongside Treatment Plans, with general availability for the same three EHRs soon after.
Introducing Insights
“I can see everything that's happening in real time.” – Dr. Stitt
Insights is one real-time dashboard for the whole practice, built on the same unified EHR data already powering everything above.
Insights gives you:
- Appointment volume, patient volume, and fill rate, live across every location and EHR
- No-show rates broken down by acquisition channel and appointment type, so you know where empty chairs come from
- Utilization heat maps by location and provider to guide load-balancing decisions
- Reactivation opportunity among lapsed and churned patients, ready to act on with recall campaigns

Coming soon: an intelligent data-analyst assistant to dig deeper.
Early access for design partners opens first, with general availability for every NexHealth practice to follow. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you the moment it opens.
Built with Synchronizer
It was one story. A text goes out, and the patient shows up ready. Coverage is checked a week early. The unsigned plan reaches the patient at home and comes back scheduled. Installments are charged and posted to the ledger overnight. And for the first time, you watch the whole practice from one screen.
Five names, one system underneath. Every one runs on the Synchronizer: it reads from your EHR, and it writes back to it. And the Synchronizer keeps expanding. This release brings Verification to Denticon, eClinicalWorks, and Cloud9, and lands Treatment Plans and Payment Plans first on Open Dental, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft, with more health record systems every quarter.
