What practices that left for Weave told us when they came back

Cancellations fill themselves. No one calls down the list.

On Weave, last-minute cancellations just sat there. No waitlist, no campaigns. The front desk was back to calling down the list.

Office manager, two-doctor dental practice

Text thread where NexHealth offers a patient two earlier appointment times and confirms the one she picks

Payments post to the ledger. Patient and insurance split on their own.

On Weave, payments stopped posting. Practices came back for payments that post on their own.

Owner, dermatology practice

NexHealth patient payment page on a phone showing the amount due, insurance paid, the patient portion and a Pay button

Forms write back to the chart. Medical alerts too.

On Weave, forms never made it to the chart. Practices came back for forms that write back to their system.

Practice administrator, pediatric practice

NexHealth patient forms on a phone with medical history, insurance and consent complete and a signature step

A local support team.

Practices missed the NexHealth team. NexHealth support is in Draper, Utah. And the onboarding team is in San Francisco, CA.

Who does the job: software, or your staff

Buying a phone system with add-ons means your staff does the job, using that phone system.

With NexHealth

NexHealth, on its own

  • Custom forms that sync to the patient chart
  • Reads the insurance card from a photo
  • Texts the patient when their insurance ID is wrong or expired
  • Collects a card on file at booking or in the forms

With Weave

Your staff, by hand

Forms, insurance, payments all are add-on features that don't finish the job. Your staff still has to chase patients and manually update your practice management system.

Questions practices ask us

Is Weave being acquired by private equity?

Yes. In August 2026 Weave agreed to be bought by Francisco Partners for $7.40 a share, about $650M. Weave went public at $24 a share in 2021, fell to $3 within a year, and changed CEOs twice. The sale price is 69% below the IPO. Shareholders vote October 22, 2026, and the deal is expected to close by the end of the year.

What does private equity ownership mean for my practice?

In software it usually means cost cutting, price increases, and changes to product and support. Weave raised prices on current customers and moved its support to India and the Philippines before the sale.

Who owns NexHealth?

Its founders, backed by Silicon Valley investors. The roadmap comes from what practices ask for, and new product updates ship most weeks: 880+ releases in the past five years.

Can I keep my phones?

Yes. NexHealth works with the phone system you already have, including Weave.

What if Weave won't let me downgrade to just their phones?

Then you don't need Weave at all. NexHealth partners with and integrates with many phone systems, and it comes with call pop, so your front desk sees who is calling and what they need before they pick up. If you want a new phone system, we will set you up with one of our partners.

How do I switch from Weave to NexHealth?

A NexHealth person installs the sync, sets up your reminders, forms and online booking, and walks your front desk through it. 7 days from signed to first feature live.

Does NexHealth work with my practice management system?

15 systems, dental and medical, cloud and on premise: Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, Curve, Cloud9, Dolphin, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, NextGen, ModMed and more. The full list is at nexhealth.com/integrations.

Is NexHealth for medical practices too?

Yes. 19 specialties: dental, orthodontics, primary care, dermatology, physical therapy and more.
