Coast Dental soars with data synchronization for Eaglesoft
Coast Dental serves patients across 106 locations spanning Texas, Georgia, and Florida. They knew that patients were expecting a modern experience when seeing the dentist, and they wanted to deliver a patient journey that was digitized end-to-end. Coast Dental uses Eaglesoft, installed on servers in each practice location. NexHealth worked with Coast Dental to onboard all of their locations in just 5 weeks.
Coast Dental saw positive results just as fast. Before NexHealth, they had 229 reviews in December 2021, and by February 2022, the number had spiked to 1,087 reviews with an average rating of 4.5 / 5.0 — way ahead of the competition. And with NexHealth Forms, patients filled in medical information online and that data was auto-updated into Eaglesoft via the Synchronizer, saving each location’s office team an estimated 3-4 hours every day.
“Patients could complete online forms before an appointment, an experience they loved. But the real value came in having all the data auto-updated into Eaglesoft, saving hours every day for the office team, reducing errors in data entry, and minimizing storage costs,” said Debbie Nicholson, VP Marketing at Coast Dental.
Grand Street Dental uses online booking to go for growth
Located in New York City, Grand Street Dental partnered with NexHealth to help provide a best-in-class dental experience for their patients. They wanted to start the process by integrating separate booking systems and automating patient communication while uncovering new insights with patient satisfaction surveys. That’s where the Synchronizer came in.
“It's actually been one of the most helpful resources we've had as an office, what [they’ve] done to integrate with cloud-based software like Curve Dental or Dentrix Ascend,” said Dr. Jennifer Plotnick, Owner of Grand Street Dental.
Thanks to bidirectional data synchronization, Grand Street Dental now offers real-time online booking, payments, two-way messaging, and marketing campaigns that help them stand out. They see 35 more patients per month as a result, and they’ve streamlined office tasks with automated appointment reminders sent to patients via text and email.
The Smilist delivers a tech-forward experience for patients and practices
The Smilist has dozens of practice locations in the New York Metro area, offering patients access to state-of-the-art dental care. The Smilist knew a digital patient experience – online booking, reminders, recalls, forms – would not work if it couldn't read and write to their practice management system, Dentrix Enterprise.
"Synchronization with Dentrix was a must-have," said Melanie Basile, Chief Growth Officer, The Smilist. "We saw a lot of dentists purchase software based on a list of features, only to find out none of those features synced with the practice management system. We were not going to make that mistake."
Using NexHealth Online Booking, The Smilist scheduled more than 6,700 new patient appointments in the first three quarters of 2022. They estimate each location’s staff saves 1-2 hours daily because they no longer have to retype information from paper forms.
As The Smilist deepens their partnership with NexHealth, they've even started adopting other patient experience technology built using the NexHealth API. The Smilist is working with TrueLark to use an AI chatbot to communicate with patients after hours and schedule appointments that also sync back to Dentrix thanks to the Synchronizer.
